Gotta ask the question, if was a black man was standing in front of a crowd of white guys and they were all peering at him, pointing and gesturing, I'd be running like a mother fucker... This painting has so many suggestive racial things going on that I don't know where to begin...

pretty sure i was going to costa rica, a country filled with mexico's cousins that has no standing army and free healthcare. pussies. didn't see any rich men though, so they're obviously doing it wrong. anyway, i don't mean to sound like an early adopter snob or anything when it comes to terrible conservative art but definitely liked this dude's earlier stuff better. the pregnant chick? crying judges, etc. just feel like there was an excitement there. like he wasn't afraid to get in the van and do a few signings at wal-mart or wherever. maybe hit the county fair circuit. live it and breathe it. now it just feels like he's phoning it in.

Quite interesting reading about all the different presidents as at school in the UK you don't get taught a huge amount about them. The LBJ entry lists the head start programme, food stamps, Medicare and Medicaid - initially I thought they would be achievements but the painter thinks they were bad.

Everything I've read about Reagan tells me his economic policies were bad news for ordinary people and their jobs, but a lot of people think he was the second coming...
